Yey! Epic update on the site today. With the power of ComicPress and WordPress. I can’t even describe how excited I am about this, we’ve got RSS, comment functions, an actual archive and a REAL blog, and everything just looks a hell of a lot better.
And we’ve got these mother ‘effers ->
This means I’ll never need to do anymore coding when I want to post a comic or anything in the blog. That was really a hassle before, updating all the links, and making sure everything worked as it should. WordPress fixes all this for me now. <3
I’ll probably be more frequent about posting in the blog now, too, now that it’s more easy.
However, expect things to be a little “wobbly” in the beginning, with broken links and just… weird stuff going on. Because I’ll keep updating stuff on the site, and I’m not always ENTIRELY sure about what I’m doing so… yeah… just bear with me.
As promised, the cast sections up. Although, it’s very…. uhm, let’s just say basic. And probably full of errors. I had to really stress it, as well as I did with Mondays strip, because I went to Sälen yesterday. So I’m updating from my sisters laptop – thank god she had that, right?
But at least the cast section’s up. I’ll do some major touch-up when I get home, next Saturday. ESPECIALLY on the code itself. I had to use a table layout in all the hurry, so it won’t validate as genuine xhtml AT ALL.
And I can have that.
What mockery is this?! Well, I’m sorry guys, but all I have today is a filler. I really didn’t feel like drawing yesterday, and I mean, like, REALLY. I worked nightshift at pipelife last week, so I didn’t have time during the week to draw, and then there was this storm on Saturday and… and… yeah, to quote AVGN: It was all very ASS.
To make up for this, I’ll have a comic by Friday AND I’ll finally finish the cast section, this week. AND, and I’ll hopefully post all strips on deviantArt to get some traffic going.
I’ll never put this in the archive, btw. When I update, I’ll move this to the blog section.
Tomorrow will be delayed. Well, not the day itself, but the strip. I’m sorry. But this is kinda big, so hopefully it will be worth the wait
It might be up on the evening, or if things turn out really bad – Tuesday.
I missed my bus home from school today. That pissed me off real bad. But anyways, I went back to school, sat down by a computer, and thought of the brilliant idea to google search for “glitchtown”. And would you look at that – there actually are people who read my doodles!
I found two blogs linking to me, one of which I recognised from deviantart. And I also noticed that Brad Guigar had made a post about last weeks strip in his blog.
Well-lead punchline… clean art… keen attention to detail (look at the comic on the screen in the last panel)… this guy was doing more than looking for typos when he read our book. The lad was paying attention. Nicely done, Rasmus.
Thanks Brad! ^^
I’m still so fresh to all this, so every single time someone writes anything about me or glitchtown, I’m like “OMGWTFBBQDIDNTEXPECTTHAT?!?!1111one”.
You know the feeling.
Oh, and one last thing. Noticed that the site works badly in IE6. If you’re experiencing problems, try hitting F5, or simply CHANGE GOD DAMN WEB BROWSER. Sheesh.
Yesterday, I sent over an inked and colored picture of a sketch by Krishna M. Sadasivam – the artist and creator of The PC Weenies. He emailed me back and said he liked both the drawing, and Glitch town! How awesome is that? Quite awesome, but it gets even better. Today he made a post in his blog, and linked to this site. Sweet. God. YES. I can really use the promotion. Thanks for everything, Krishna! <3
So if you’re visiting from PC Weenies today, allow me to give you a special welcome. I hope you’ll come back on Monday for a fresh produce.
On a side note; I’ve been working on a new blog, that’s actually a… uhm, REAL blog. With RSS and such. My domain vendor – one.com – has a built in blog function, it’s just a pity it sucks. Hard. We’ll see how things will turn out.
This week’s update will be a little late. I’m sorry, but there’s just no way I’ll finish 6 panels before midnight tonight. No. Effin’. Way.
This whole project is due on Tuesday, and I’ve still got some business to take care of, so to speak. But hopefully, I’ll have a comic up on late Tuesday or Wednesday.
The comic will be a little late on Monday, and I apologise for it. I’ve got a national exam in Swedish I just had to study for today. I’m sorry. But hopefully, I’ll still have the comic up Monday, just a little latter. Like around eight-ish, but than again… that’s Swedish time. :3
In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve added an archive section. It’s not big but it’s… something, I guess… ^^’ It needs some improvement, but right now I’ve got more important stuff to take care of.
I’m changing my update schedule again. To Monday, the classic day for updates. Why? Mostly because I was already updating so late on Sunday evenings already, that it really was Monday morning. So I’ll keep doing what I’m doing, but I’m calling it Monday instead of Sunday. My goal is to have the comic up on the morning (or at least before midday), so that you’ll wake up with a fresh produce every Monday.
How awesome is that?
