I seem to remember something about “further notice”. I’m a bit late with that, but oh well. Better late then never, I guess.

I think it’s time to put this on a more permanent hiatus now, something I’ve been wanting to do for longer than you can probably imagine, though I guess this month of dead silence has been a testament to that already. The truth is that Glitchtown was never the comic I wanted to do in the first place, it’s more a school assignment gone very very wrong. Or right, depending on how you view it. This was my experiment, and more or less my first attempt at making comics. And I’ve learned a lot. And befriended several really nice and more awesome people than myself in the process. (I was gonna make links of those words, but there’s just too many friends to link to… you guys know who you are. You’ve meant everything.)

So, yeah, I’ve gotten more out of it than I could ever imagine (not just epic FFFFFUUUUUstration and heart attacks). And I’ve SERIOUSLY had the best goddamn readers EVER. And I know how that sounds, but I really do mean it. You’ve offered nothing but support and nice comments, even though I hardly even deserved it. You guys…! *hugs everyone*

So anyways. Don’t worry. It’s not like I’m done with comics altogether, nor is Glitchtown just gonna disappear. It’ll stay here, perhaps to be revisited in the future. And my email and Twitter will still be active, and so will my sketch blog.

I’ll be back!

…And, btw, some inside information, because you’ve deserved it: I’ve invested in a new computer, which should arrive shortly. That means I’ll probably ustream and draw more frequently, and maybe start doing comics again before you know it.

We’ll see. As always.

/Rasmus Björn Patrik Pettersson, because epic ending need epic full names.

As you may or may not know, I’ve started attending School of Engineering at Jönköpings University. It’s kinda hectic and disoriented now at the start, and I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do, where I should be, and what I need to get and… stuff. So, I can’t honestly say that comics are on my mind at the moment, and because of this, Glitchtown is now on hiatus until further notice. And further notice will probably come sometime late next week.

Hey guys, quick heads up: there’ll be no new strip tomorrow, Friday (31). Due to a series of unfortunate events, which has caused me to lose any and all Internet access on ”my” computer AND somehow lose ”my” new backup hard drive, I had to spend most of this Thursday troubleshooting instead of drawing. And I’m no good troubleshooter. But I guess the network card is broken. Maybe. Which sucks cause it’s integrated into the motherboard. I think. This kinda makes me wish I knew ANYTHING about network connections and that sort of thing. I really don’t.

Anyways, I apologize for the inconvenience. I promise I’ll have a new strip by Monday, REGARDLESS whether I get Internet back or not. As of now, it’s not looking like I will. At least we’ve got other computers with access, but I’ll probably not answer any emails or anything, incase you send any.

Rest assure I have 37 well trained badgers and 5 mooses working on fixing this. I really like badgers. They are awesome. Never cared for mooses though. But they work for minimum wage, so what the heck.

EDIT: Installed a new network card. So I’ve got netz again!
Speciall thanks to Sebastiaan for pointing out that a new card doesn’t conflict with the old one

Hey-oh, you know what time it is? It’s time for me to throw out a shameless plug or two. Because I can. Yes yes.

First of, my Swedish colleague Robin Larsson recently launched his new webcomic Zero Days. He’s a really nice, talent guy, go check it out and give him some love. He’s only got 4 pages up so far, so it’s easy to dive in. If you like post-apocalyptic… stuff… you’ll probably like Zero Days. And who DOESN’T like post-apocalyptic… stuff?

And for all my Swedish readers: my older brother – also recently – launched a site called “Skriv en bok” (It’s in a kinda Beta-stage now though). As the title suggests, it’s about writing. The basic idea is that someone, anyone, writes a chapter of a story, and then some other one, anyone, are free to continue with that story. Head over and check it out if you want to write something short. The end result might get really, really interesting. It’s only in Swedish atm though, like I said.

And… that concludes this week’s shameless plugs!

/Rasmus (I’ve never signed a post before… wtf am i doin? Dunno. It felt fitting).

CHKDSK saves the day, once again.

I canceled the ongoing CHKDSK/r process after going strong for AT LEAST 60 hours, and thought I’d try CHKDSK/f (before I got out my Linux LiveCD and tried saving as much as I could).

CHKDSK/f fixed everything.

And it didn’t even take an hour.

So I’ve wasted so incredibly must time and effort, just because I typed /r instead of /f. Goddammit. Well… guess it’s good, but it’s annoying. I’ve bought a new 500GB external hard drive, and I’ll be sure to back up everything to that one from now on.

Anyway, thanks for all the helpful and well wishing comments! See you guys Friday.

Hey guys, which you might know, this computer I’m using is well passed its prime. I’ve gotten Cyclic redundancy error on the D: drive before, and fixed it with CHKDSK, but now I’ve got it again, and I got it bad. It’s – like we say in computer lingo – fucked. However, I’m running CHKDSK again, hoping it’ll solve it, but it’s literary taking forever. And I mean forever. Like, I’m not expecting it to finish before time as we know it has ended, and the sun has exploded. Cause, you know, It’s been going for more than 8 hours already. 8h is damn close to infinity.

So, because of this, I’m trying to not use the computer at all right now and just let Checkdisk finish. And that’s why there’s no update today, and for this I’m sorry. Guess it’s my fault entirely too, apparently I shouldn’t have formatted that drive. I really think that these hard drives are living on borrowed time, so I’ll try to backup as fast as I can.

(And if someone says “get a Mac” I’m going to KILL MYSELF…)

EDIT: Status update, +24 hours and counting and CHKDSK’s still going. I’m starting to think this was a bad idea.
