The salt that’s burning my wounds
Hey guys, quick heads up: there’ll be no new strip tomorrow, Friday (31). Due to a series of unfortunate events, which has caused me to lose any and all Internet access on ”my” computer AND somehow lose ”my” new backup hard drive, I had to spend most of this Thursday troubleshooting instead of drawing. And I’m no good troubleshooter. But I guess the network card is broken. Maybe. Which sucks cause it’s integrated into the motherboard. I think. This kinda makes me wish I knew ANYTHING about network connections and that sort of thing. I really don’t.
Anyways, I apologize for the inconvenience. I promise I’ll have a new strip by Monday, REGARDLESS whether I get Internet back or not. As of now, it’s not looking like I will. At least we’ve got other computers with access, but I’ll probably not answer any emails or anything, incase you send any.
Rest assure I have 37 well trained badgers and 5 mooses working on fixing this. I really like badgers. They are awesome. Never cared for mooses though. But they work for minimum wage, so what the heck.
EDIT: Installed a new network card. So I’ve got netz again!
Speciall thanks to Sebastiaan for pointing out that a new card doesn’t conflict with the old one

Try removing the network from the windows hardware list.
Then re detect new hardware, it then installs to default settings. if that does not work the network card maybe broken.
Or it can be the cable, have you tried another one?
If the card is really broken, you can use an PCI network card.
)
They cost around 15 tot 20 euro(s) (almost the same like dollars
And can be installed without conflicts with the already present one.
And else ask Bob Weener :devil:

w00t \o/ Sebastiaan, thanks!
Thanks to your comment, we found out that we actually HAD an PCI network card lying around (who’d guessed?). It’s installed, and now it’s working again
Simple and quick solution really.
