VirtualBox eh...? Not sure I quite get it, but it sounds great. But you can't possibly get the same frame rate while playing, that you'd get with using only XP, would you?

If I ever by MY OWN computer, I might just try out running linux and windows simultaneouly. And if I do, I'll be sure to talk to you first, Shinji. ^^

Okay, i'm a linux user and i found this strip funny ^^

----
But on your case that certain programs doesn't run on linux- I got one word for you: VirtualBox. Just installed Windows XP on my virtual HDD and both Photoshop CS3 and my games run perfectly. AND i can have both Ubuntu and Windows on at the same time. It's like having to computers in one!

FYI: You can also use it in reverse, have windows and a virtual HDD with linux on it. PM me if you want more details :)

Having gone to college with several people who touted the awesomeness of Linux I LOVE this strip!

Guy: Dude, Windows sucks, Mac sucks, you should get Linux.

Me: But I need all these programs that can't be installed on Linux.

Guy: But...but Linux is better...

Me: How is it better when you can't use it for anything practical?

Guy:...you can...there's...psh..you're not a computer guy, you just don't know. HU-RUMPH! *Monocle pops off*
