Captcha gotcha

I really hate captcha. Sometimes it REALLY is too damn hard to tell what kind of letters and characters you’re supposed to write.

I think this strip will conclude the little arc of “Leslie and Houston trying to make a cool avatar”. Unless I think of  something more funny to squeeze out of it, that is.

Todays background color (blue) is brought to you by Da Matt, the guy that single-handedly saved the entire world from Zombies. (That’s just what I heard somewhere).

I once got an captcha that has signs I can’t even type normal! 😐
Captcha can be good, when used properly but most suck.

lol Sebastiaan, that’s weird. Yeah, it’s fine when it’s just plain black letters on white background (with mild distortion), but sometimes they get way too carried away with letters and numbers, colors, different sizes and… well, anything that makes it unreadable. -_-

Haha, Tarv, I know! 😀 And it’s not like they look similar, sometimes they actually look _exactly_ the same.

I hate when they have overlaping letters. I also hate zombies.

Da Matt: We’re not so different after all. I too despise overlapping letters and the occasional zombie.

I hate it when they warp the letters and put a line over them. Do they really want me to join or are they just yanking my chain?

I hear you Rachel. Sometimes I wonder if it’s REALLY necessary to warp it at all. Can spambots, or whatever, really scan pictures to find the characters? And if so, how accurate could it be?

And hold up — did both Hud and Les gain weight since Monday?

Haha 😀 Well… It’s not like my art has ever been consistent.

Haha, I hate that, and when you type it in wrong you sometimes have to re-type your email, name, password etc. etc.

Hah, oh yes. Typing out alot of information in forms, and then accidentally cause it to disappear is a real pain in the ass. x)

I once got an catcha which spells ‘GAYPQQ’ 😀

“I once got an captcha that has signs I can’t even type normal!”
That was reCAPTCHA, like ö or the omega sign 😐

    Nevermind… it’s just Les’s chin. 🙂

And Leslies face is probably a bit to small in contrast to his head, too. I really do appreciate the critic though 🙂 Makes me realize I should work a little harder on staying consistent.

I will not get in the way of progress! Consistency is just a roadblock to improvement. Wherever you take the artwork is up to you — I’m just not a huge fan of superhero chins. 😀

    Keep up the great work.
