Another one bites the dust
Random reader: Say, what’s that crap behind Leslie and Isaac…?
Me: Why, they call it “backgrounds”.
Random reader: Back… grounds…? I’ve heard of such things. I didn’t think they actually existed. It’s… it’s beautiful.
There really has been a lack of backgrounds in this comic, so I thought I give it a try with really simple ones here. However, it’s hard for me. I’m not used to it. I’ll probably use them modestly, but I try to use them a little more from here on out.
Oh, and I’d like to say hello to all the new readers from PCWennies. Hi guys. 😀 If you like the strip, you can always try and stumble it, or digg it, or whatever it. Just share it. I really want to now if my little button here below works or not.
And here’s todays sketch. Booyah!

Heh, backgrounds are nice, but I do like the bloom around the last two pannels as well. Honestly, the backgrounds don’t need to be too complex, except for certain occasions. Look at garfield for example. I used to love that comic, and all Jim does is put a dark color with a lighter color in a part circle in the background. It is nice to see more than that though. One last note. Do Leslie and Isaac have four fingers or five? :p

Thanks, Equipollent. And I guess you’re right, complex background might even be distracting. But I like this.
About the fingers… heh, well… I’m not sure x) I know I usually draw 4 fingers, but I also know I’ve drawn 5 on occasion. Like in that picture I recently posted in the blog, of Leslie, for example. I guess I should settle on something, and not go back and forth.

Hilarious strip today. Your art keeps getting better and better – love the neat outdoor lighting effect around the panels. Very slick!
